THE PBP RACKATEERS

Dan ReedPBP has a long tradition of tennis greatness! During season, our corporate team, more than a decade in existence, plays every Tuesday morning, rain or shine.

Led by “Dan the Man” Danny Reed from our Gifts and Incentives Division, the team includes Dannie Evans, Manager of Catalyst Media, Megan Gallivan from Executive Education, Eric Raines from IT, and Eileen Pollick from Gifts and Incentives Sales.

PBP Softball Team

Dave DalyOutstanding current record, 10-2! Each year PBP proudly fields a corporate softball team in the Great Valley Corporate Center Softball League. Managed by top sportwoman Katy Murray, PBP’s Director of Fulfillment, our team is currently the top team in the middle division, and absolutely destined for the upcoming playoffs.

PBP’s team consists of colleagues from numerous divisions, including Amy Jacoby Troutman from PGI, Mike Elisio from Marketing, Tom Schubert, COO & CFO, Steve Gekas from Compliance warehouse, Dan Reed from Gifts and Incentives, Nehal Mascarenhas from IT, Mark Shatz, PGI warehouse Manager, and anchorman Dave Daly, fulfillment warehouse manager. When asked about his role on the team, “Big Dave” smiled and remarked: “it’s extra fun when you’re winning”.

Colleagues, family and friends enjoy a warm summer evening watching PBP’s terrific 2017 season Softball Team take on all comers in the Great Valley League.

Pro games are a real treat for employees & families

PBP blogMany PBPers are avid fans of Philadelphia’s professional sports teams – Eagles football, Flyers hockey and 76ers basketball.

PBP has long supported this interest by offering employees opportunities to enjoy a game live at the South Philly stadiums!

The company has a corporate box at the Lincoln Financial Field. And mny employees have been thrilled to share two club-box seats at Wells Fargo Center for a Flyers or 76ers game.

Once a year employees are asked which games or teams they’d prefer to see in the coming year, and PBP does it’s best to provide tickets to as many people as possible, based on their preferences.

PBP blog 2On  Jan. 13, Vince Better, the  Business Development Manager for PBP Media, took his nine-year-old daughter, Gabrielle, to the 76ers game against the Atlanta Hawks,  where he enjoyed the view from his club-box seats.

Father and daughter posed at center court on the 76ers logo before the game.  You can tell from Gabrielle’s beaming face that she loved her experience.

Both cheered loudly for Philadelphia’s team. Vince said it was a terrific evening—he just wished the Sixers had won.

Next time, Vince!

Maureen Lavin crowned ‘Pizza Queen’ for her C-W lunches

It takes a village—or in this case a dedicated company—to sustain a multi-leveled program like PBP’s 20-year support of its adopted school, Cook-Wissahickon K-8 Elementary in Philadelphia.

What’s more, Maureen Lavin, the Assistant Corporate Controller, has served as Chair of the Cook-Wissahickon “Pizza Team” for many of those years!

Each month PBP’s Mentees, students in grades 3-6, visit the corporate headquarters in Malvern, PA.  A much-anticipated part of that field trip is the extensive pizza and salad lunch provided for all.

Maureen’s Team makes that lunch a delicious reality, month after month.  For the November trip, the entire group also celebrated Maureen’s birthday with cake and a “pizza crown”.

We are grateful for our PBPers who support our Cook-Wissahickon program in many ways.

Thank you, Maureen, and thanks to all those who participate.
